Hi I am Blair Bayless and I teach 4th grade.  I am a native of Sebastopol and graduated from Sonoma State. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing students faces light up when they have an “Ahha” moment. I also values connection on a personal level with each student. I went into teaching because education is a powerful tool to shape the world.
Fourth Grade is all about California!
We learn about the history, geography, government, ecology and geology of California. In addition we also learn about waves, energy, and internal and external structures of plants and animals.
To immerse ourselves in this learning we take field trips to Sacramento to visit the State Capital. Students will be able to learn first hand about the government and history of California. Students will travel back in time at Fort Ross to learn about the different people of California. Angel island gives students the opportunity to explore the natural geology and ecology of California. Students will also get the opportunity to go to Snoopy's Ice Skating Rink.
