Hi, I am Jack Potter and am one of the members of our Kindergarten team at Olivet. I have a degree in English with an emphasis on writing from U.C. Davis. I enjoyed coaching youth soccer and got involved with my own children’s education, so I decided to become a teacher. I began my second career at Olivet in 1999. I live in the Piner-Olivet School District and all three of my children went to our schools. I enjoy working at Olivet because the families, students, teachers and my neighbors are supportive of each other and our community. Our school’s country setting is both beautiful and inviting.
As kindergarten teachers our main objectives are to expose all of our students to the skills they need to succeed academically and socially. Besides academic skills our students need to become independent individuals and contributing members of a community. To accomplish these goals we work together with parents to create a strong foundation so that all our students will be ready to succeed in the future.
Here are a few kinder field trips to look forward to!
